Really fun superman reading that is quite conventional. There's no real moral drama in the first volume besides how clark deals with the death of his father. What is interesting to me is that they've set up a series in which superman inevitably (or so it appears) dies and he is aware of this fact. It thus becomes a struggle of relationships, what to do with Lois before his time is over, and a matter of fate, with time travelers revealing he has 12 great deeds he accomplishes before his death. Interesting premise.
